Welcome to the La Trobe University Waterski & Wakeboard Club!

The La Trobe University Waterski & Wakeboard Club is one of Victoria’s premier university water sports clubs, based at La Trobe University, Bundoora Campus. As a highly active club both on and off the water, La Trobe University Waterski & Wakeboard Club members enjoy both skiing behind our club boat, the Malibu Response LX, and numerous social events run throughout the year. Whether you are just starting out, or are a seasoned professional, La Trobe University Waterski & Wakeboard Club is for you. For novice skiers and wakeboarders we provide a safe and fun way to improve your skills, along with a few tips and tricks from our veteran members.

We frequent several waterways throughout the year, including Lake Eildon, Hazelwood Pondage and, until recently, Deniliquin. Our more experienced skiers have the opportunity to represent the University in the Australian University Water Ski and Wakeboard Championships, held this year (2009) on the Murray River at Echuca. These trips, alongside interclub events, are a great way to keep fit and meet some new people.

In March we hold our new members camp, and all inclusive event which always proves to be an extravaganza you will never forget! This trip can be a great way to start your involvement with the club, improve your skills on the water, all whilst having a fantastic time! Fun is what this trip, held at Hazelwood Pondage, is definitely all about! With transport, food, drinks and entertainment all included, this is one trip you definitely do not want to miss! As a La Trobe University Waterski & Wakeboard Club member you gain access to all club equipment (wakeboards, skis, life jackets, wetsuits etc.) and are permitted to attend all club ski and wakeboarding trips, not to mention the abundance of social events! We try our hardest to keep our interested members involved, be it through driver training, trip organisation or assisting on the club committee. If you are keen to learn, we are happy to share our knowledge!
